@Robert Harris,

Welcome and congrats on your recent retirement!

Real estate can absolutely be a great way to diversify your portfolio, especially if you're looking for steady cash flow, long-term appreciation, and tax advantages in this next chapter of life. Many investors are transitioning from traditional retirement accounts into cash-flowing rental properties that can help supplement or even replace their income in retirement.

There are a lot of different strategies (turnkey, new construction, short-term rentals, etc.), and it all depends on your goals, risk tolerance, and how hands-on or hands-off you want to be.

Happy to help answer questions as you explore if this path is right for you. You’re in the right place!

Best of luck!

 Thanks for the info, I feel like I am only partially retired right now.  I still have a lot of energy. So I am looking at businesses where I can control how involved I am.

It sounds like you're in a great position - having the energy and flexibility to choose how involved you want to be is a huge advantage. Exploring businesses that allow you to stay engaged on your own terms is a smart move.

If you're looking at options with semi-passive income or scalable involvement, real estate or certain small business models might be a great fit.
