Hello there,

I suppose it's time to stop lurking in the shadows & introduce myself. My name is Sandy, and I am real estate professional based in Southern California, Los Angeles and Santa Barbara to be exact. I have been an agent, although my license is on ice while I study for the broker's exam. I have been out of the business for the last few years while battling cancer. I am now cancer free and ready to jump back in, while transitioning to investing.

I have done several residential deals, however my first transaction as an agent happened to be commercial. My clients purchased both a tow truck company and the property as well. It was a $3.5 million transaction. It took 6 months to close and I almost had a nervous breakdown, but we got it done. I have been hooked on commercial ever since.

My particular area of interest in commercial is multi-family, and I plan to start on 5-50 units, as per Conti and Harris in "Commercial Real Estate Investing for Dummies" and many comments by the more seasoned investors here. The plan is to start with wholesaling, and eventually move into the buy & hold realm.

I've spent several weeks reading the forums, articles and blogs, and I feel like I've barely scratched the surface. But not to worry, I'm in it for the long haul. I'm really grateful for this forum. Thanks!!
