Newbie investor in Dubai/UAE

Andreas Schaefer
Posted

Hi to all! This is my first post. I am a newbie investor in Dubai. I currently have 2 investment properties with a 3rd getting transferred next week. Dubai is an exciting market for me. After many years of lower and lower prices, it reached its low during corona. Mostly driven by "normal business cycle", "after corona boom" and Expo in Dubai I can see a price increase. The price increase for single family houses is 20-30% since beginning of 2021, apartments around 5-10%. Rents come up as well and I believe Dubai will see even more growth next year. There seems to be a plan in place to allow gambling which will further boost everything here.

I mentioned above that I am a newbie investor, not entirely true, I own a good number of rental property in Germany.

Is anyone here active in Dubai, currently looking to invest in Dubai or just living here?

Hi Andreas, I'm based in Dubai, and part of a real estate investment group here, as well. Happy to connect you with the group. Having said that, most, if not all of us, are investing in other markets, mainly US, but not 100% sure as it's a fairly big group of investors. Pretty sure a few Germans in the group, as well.

I used to be the Sales Director for a real estate company here in Dubai. Never pulled the trigger on buying here, but my clients did well, on the whole, so good for you for buying up some rentals. The market has gone crazy the last year, and rentals are in high demand. Probably telling you something you already know, but it's super important here to get the best quality tenants you can find, as evictions/notice period is a whopping 12 months.

Nice to meet you!
