Got the land when does the contractor come in?

Hello, I just acquired land in Dayton where a fourplex used to be. I would like to build there. What is the first steps in this process? A builder? An architect?  A surveyor?  Your recommendations for finding either. Thank you

Replied

1) Trip to the City Planning/Building Department(s)

2) Get an Architect/Engineer team on board

3) Hire a General Contractor that has experience doing exactly what you are doing (building 4 unit structures)
