craigslist rehab scam?

Does anyone know anything about ads posted in the craigslist job section advertising, "Real Estate Investing Students Wanted: Local Flippers". The ad is directed towards REI students who are trying to learn to flip houses. They offer monetary compensation and mention a 1099 contract. It all seems to good to be true which is generally the case. Has anyone contacted any of the people behind these advertisements? Just trying to figure out if this is a scam...

I've never contacted anyone from these programs. I'm guessing they are looking for you to find the deals, then they pay you a small finder's fee. Don't give them money for anything - business cards, "marketing costs" etc.
