As my subject states, Currently living in Enfield CT, and although I feel comfortable with the tons and tons of information I have absorbed in the last 2 months, the last 9 years of my life has been the Marine Corps, so having said that, I would like to get some insight on the MA market, Multi-family mostly, but SFR as well. Looking into foreclosures, as well as any agent contacts (motivated/honest) agent, I have had many agent referrals, know a few personally in my area, and I would simply like to keep looking...Also, I just have some basic questions about the market/General REI if anyone can help. Thank you in advance.
Best Regards
Dave

replied over 4 years agoHi there! Living in Boston, I can tell you that a lot of hard work, and a lot of networking is required to find deals around here. I would mostly look at places around 50-60 miles in each direction away from Boston to be honest.
South of Boston you have Attleboro, Foxboro, Canton, and even Quincy. West you have Framingham, Southboro, Fitchburg, Worcester and Springfield (which I would personally avoid).

@David Noskiewicz the Amherst and Northampton areas are great for investors, a little higher prices but rents are also very good. Your VA benefits would help getting you into a multi family if you live in one. I currently invest in Greenfield and Shelburne Falls but have many friends that live in the Northampton area and swear by it as a great place to live and invest. PM me and I can point you in the right direction. Best of luck in your journey, sounds like you will do well.

@Mike Hurney I was just going by his subject line. I'm sure Enfield is a great area, I just don't know it.

I've looked Mike Hurney, however, I think I have this "disease " where I've read so many great deals, that I'm looking for a "great deal" as in the same deal/scenario/location/class that someone else has had success over. I hope this is the issue, otherwise Enfield has no M.F unless it's in Thompsonville , and that's a class D location in my oppinion. Other than that, can't even find a nice SFR to flip and live in for a little while before selling, in ALL of Enfield. I have 4 months left on our lease, currently renting for 1700/mo. I know ,but I am on a lake in a great neighborhood, and I didn't know anything back then, just needed a place to live. Would love to house hack , as my first investment, and have my rent paid.
Thanks ladies and gentlemen

@David Noskiewicz Would love to hear about deals in West Hartford, Bloomfield and Windsor. Ideal would be for us to find a deal in the next week or two. I have lots of undeployed capital and want to get going on a deal before Thanksgiving.
