I need to know what their criteria is so that I know what type of houses to look for. And also are they familiar with wholesale contracts and transactions.

a wholesale contract should be no different than a regular transaction with the exceptions of a few special stipulations.

Two things investors look for.. legitimate equity and great cash flow (most people desire areas that are not constantly under the threat of crime).  Find deals like that and you'll have buyers lining up.  simple :)
