Best deals on supplies, appliances, materials, etc

I will shop for bargains as I believe a penny saved is a penny earned.  I am in the Oklahoma City area and am wondering where people find their best deals.  For cabinets, Cabinet Outlet on 10th and Reno seem to be very reasonable, and the builders supply next door.  

I just submitted a list of about $2,200 dollars worth of tile and lights to Home Depot to the pro desk to see what kind of discount I could get.  Turned out to be a whopping $20 dollars.  None to speak of.

Anyone have any "best places" for appliances?  building material/supplies?  paint?
