Realtors, Your Clients Are Safe With Us

I just got off the phone with a realtor who was asking about property management services for his client. Sounds normal, right? But then he asked if we would take his client away from him...

I had to pause for a second because honestly, it never even crossed my mind that this would be a concern. Why would a management company try to take away a client from the person who trusted them enough to make the referral in the first place?

It made me realize something important: in real estate (and really any business), trust and partnerships are everything. When a realtor refers a client, that’s not just a name or a deal — that’s years of relationship-building, reputation, and credibility. Protecting that should be non-negotiable.

For me, it was an easy answer: No, of course we wouldn’t do that. But the conversation stuck with me because it made me wonder — has this happened enough times that some people actually feel the need to ask?

I’d like to believe most of us operate with integrity. The long-term wins always come from collaboration, not competition with the people who send us business.

👉 So now I’m curious:

  • Have you ever had an experience where trust in a referral partnership was tested?

  • How do you make sure those partnerships stay strong and respected?

Would love to hear your thoughts, because at the end of the day, we’re all building this industry together — and the foundation should always be trust.
