Abandonment? Medical procedure Out of state, not paying, not com

Tenant of 2 months on a 1 yr lease is on disability (911 first responder with Cancer) and a US Veteran.  Came home one day and said they needed to drive 1500 miles for cancer surgery.   Rent was due, said they would take care of it on way out of town. Never paid. called from hospital, said they sent check (Never came), said they would have a delayed recovery but gave no dates.

Now 2 months past, no rents, all utilities are delinquent.  Tenant cut off all communication (blocked my number),

Minimal personal stuff remaining in home (~$300) and some food

Should (can) I Re-rent?

Can I sell?

Landlord Risks?

Landlord Responsibilities? (Texas rural prop, 1 yr lease)
