Private Lending - how to make sure that they are legit

I was approached via email from a private lending partner. I’m curious how to verify they are a legitimate lender. Any feedback?

    @Jared Welch

    Has anyone ever worked with Thomas Wenck Private Loans. The direct email makes my spidey senses go up.

    I hope I copied the link correctly, but if not, this is from another post here in BP:

    1) A "lender" named Thomas Edward, or Thomas Edward Wenck, who offers low interest loans. He is a complete sham, and is looking to get your bank account information.
