Trying to get a better sense of the Canton, OH market

I'm about to go under contract on a property in Canton and I was wondering what other investors have experienced in the area...

- What is the per unit price that renovated buildings are selling for? I'm seeing a fairly wide range and can't settle on a number I'm confident with. 

- How is the crime? I've read that it isn't the safest city, but that the SW and downtown areas are generally safe. What has your experience been?

is that a possibility for you?  have you seen the property you're under contract on in person?

I'm heading out shortly to view the property, just wanted to get a local investors opinion...it tends to give a better perspective versus what I see in my short visit there. I've had luck with this in the past with other buildings I've purchased that are far from my home. No offense taken
