Hi everyone. I was wondering if anybody could recommend places aside from Facebook marketplace to find furniture at a good deal. Thanks in advance

I use Cort Furniture Outlet which has solid, used furniture at respectable prices. They have deals to furnish apartments starting around $1700 (living, dining, and bedroom). They even have financing available to soften the burden of the upfront costs.

Thrift stores.  Don't buy something that is going to fall apart.

@Nicholas Mangiafico I used overstock.com, thrift stores, and Facebook marketplace. And I bought a small dining table on Amazon. I bought the mattresses and loveseat from zinus.com.

@Vicky L.

Wayfair has inexpensive furniture. You can also create a pro account and get 35% off.

Hey Nicholas,

This might be an odd one, but check with family members or friends! You never know what they have in the garage or basement and are willing to sell to you for cheap.

Shoot, they might have been contemplating getting new furniture for a while and willing to sell you the old stuff in their house for cheap! Especially if you are offer to pick it up or haul away.

Just a thought!

Habitat for humanity has retail stores. You can sometimes find really good deals there on more than just furniture (dishes, materials, lighting, workout equipment, ... ).

You don't want 'cheap' furniture. We have had good luck with high-end thrift stores, or low-end antiques stores...

Gently used solid wood furniture is best. Do not buy anything you have to put together....

College towns as the semester or quarter ends students put everything out at the curb for free.

Craigs list

freecycle.com

garage sales

Used furniture without fabric is what you want to find. Used furniture sells for a penny on the dollar.

@Nicholas Mangiafico It really depends on your area the best source. Aside from what has been mentioned try online estate auctions.  Also consignment shops,

Tell all your friends / family they may want to get rid of furniture. If you drive around nice neighborhoods (right before trash day) SOMETIMES you can get lucky and find  nice piece of furniture. **** I would also try storage units. I know of a guy that sells furniture out of a storage unit (In Florida) and that is literally his job. Just ask around a big storage facility.

Have a look at Catalog, https://www.catalog.homes/categories/cheap/.
This website is a registry of most furniture stores available in the US organized by styles and price points. It may help you to find the furniture that match your tastes and budget
