Florida Rental Deposit Accounts
For how I understand the statute in FL deposit monies must be kept in a separate account for each received and landlords are not to commingle these funds with any of their other funds (sect83.49). I simply read this as a separate deposit account for each deposit received. As we have grown our portfolio having a separate deposit account for each deposit does not seem efficient or feasible.
For those with 5+ doors in FL how do you handle deposits and the account they go into?
