Umbrella Insurance Recommendation

Sean Wang
Posted

Hi Everyone,

I own10 properties right now and wanted to get an umbrella insurance. GEICO and Allstate said they can't offer umbrella insurance for me due to the number of units I have. Can someone recommend an insurance agency? I have properties in NJ, NY, GA, FL and MO.

Thank you!

Sean,

You are now seeing the reason I recommend you contact an Independent Insurance Agent (one who represents multiple carriers).  There are many different situations you may be facing in your investment furture (vacant properties, new construction, renovation, larger apartment building,...).  Having a relationship with a professional that can access multiple options and both Personal & Commercial Insurance policies will be a big advantage.  In your situation, you should also consider seeking out an agent that is licensed in all the states you are doing business as it will give a one stop service.   I believe that Jason Bott, works for an agency that, like the agency I work for, is licensed in all states.
