Looking for an insurance agent/carrier that would deal with a building with a bar on ground floor and rooms on 2nd floor that are rented to individual month to month tenants. No prior losses.

Christopher,

For a mixed use property as you described, it will be placed in the Commercial Lines dept for most Insurance Carriers.  Because of the Bar & Habitational exposures, it may end up going through the Excess/Surplus Lines (Lloyds of London or similar).  I would recommend contacting several Independent Agents that represent multiple Insurance companies.  Based on the Location, fire protection, condition of the property, loss history, etc. the companies that will quote on it will vary.  If your agent(s) can not find a market, PM me and I will let you know who we use for similar properties in NY.
