What if we don't train our employees and they stay? Great question.

CFO asks CEO: What happens if we spend money training our people and then they leave?

CEO: What happens if we don't and they stay?

This is a great question that gets at the core of your beliefs about creating your company's culture.

Richard Branson has said: "Train people well enough so they can leave, treat them well enough so they don't want to." http://www.virgin.com/richard-branson/look-after-your-staff

The rub is that it takes time and cold hard cash to train anyone and it takes even more to train your people to be the best.

Food for thought....
