Real Estate Investors must ALSO consider themselves a media company

I recently read an article about how every small business owner should treat themselves like a media company. But what does that mean? We’re in such a digital age right now where there is media everywhere and your company must to adapt to that in order to be successful. Video content is popping up all over the place. We need to adapt to the fact that the content marketing world is quickly moving into video.

Think about if a real estate company was a media company. What would you do? I’ll tell you. You would do more content videos, you would adapt to more online tactics rather than offline tactics - texting customers, boast a more modern website, etc. Keep in mind that real estate in general is an offline business model but it’s imperative to adapt to the online ways. This makes everything significantly easier.

Consider yourself a media company if you’re a real estate agent, broker, investor, or any small business, really. Try to make everything digital, make it very clean and very easy to digest.

All your clients are scrolling through their feeds, searching Google maps, and doing everything from their phones. You need to make sure you are in their face (or on their screen) as much as possible! Everyone is doing the same thing in the digital age, so do whatever you need to do to keep up with the competition.
