I'm from LA and the area around the school is pretty rough. I would say the closer to the shool the better. As long as the school is there there will be students looking to rent. A couple of years ago there was a shooting on or near the campus so there has been added security. I personal think that with the high tuition costs the parents and student are going to want a safer area around the school, and eventually the school and the city are going to step in to improve the area. But that's just my thoughts.

Hello BP,

I'm a realtor in Los Angeles and I am looking for a few investors, new or seasoned, to work with. I'm young, energetic, hardworking and I can look for deals and submit offers on your behalf. I have a finance degree so I do understand the investment side. Also, my dad does a lot of off market deals ranging from SFR to hotels and large apartment complexes. So I am a direct connect for anything that he has, and he does deal all over the US.

If anyone wants to work feel free to contact me and we can build a great relationship.

@Alma Mills

Thanks for the advice.

I'm going to begin my search on the outskirts of Los Angeles because the prices should be lower. I have property management experience so I want it to be close so I can manage it myself.
