I am considering buying my parents home. It will help them get rid of debt and be more financially stable with the equity and I get my first rental property. I know dealing with family can sometimes be a issue for some but we are a close family and I know their financial situation. They don't have financial problems but will be more comfortable and I will get a property. Looking for advice on how to go about it. I am still a newbie here so looking for best way to go about it. FHA?

Hello BP! My name is Aaron Hess and I am in the Army and just got stationed in Alaska. I will be here for the next three years. I am brand new to real estate reading some books and listening to BP podcasts.

I am considering doing some flipping here in Alaska to create some capital and perhaps do some rentals once I get back to the lower 48. I have some money to get started but since the winter is coming I was hoping to do something maybe next spring. In the mean time I will be continuing my education through books and will be looking for information on the area and market. I will be mainly looking at the fairbanks and surrounding area. Thank you in advance to anyone willing to provide any assistance.
