Post: What to ask when working with a new contractor?

I am new to fix and flips and working in a new market. I have a property under contract that I intend to flip as my ARV is profitable but I want to make sure I do my DD regarding the contractors I select for the job(s). The renovations are all cosmetic and the property has no structural issues as I have had an inspection conducted.

I have 3 contractors that have quoted the entire job and have been provided referrals from friends that are local and active in the RE industry. What questions do you typically ask contractors prior to awarding a job? How do you vet their integrity? Do you have any tips on managing contractors?

Thank you for any and all recommendations you can make!

I am looking to add a bathroom to a home I am rehabbing and I am new to investing in Cobb County, GA. Do you need anything more than a building permit to get this done?
