Steven Shafer hi Steven! Thanks for the advice and time taken to respond!! I do not have my GC license. I'll start working on the GC license when I get back. I'd love to brainstorm. Do you have any leads for someone looking to develop their property? Thanks again!!

Jeremy Clarke thanks for the response!! Great advice. I appreciate it. I don't have a lot picked out yet, though I see a number in the horse tooth area by the campground. My initial though is to build a 4plex there. I know that there are no utilities in the lot, and I don't have a good feel for the soils/septic/city sewer situation there. A lot of research to be done, I know!! But, I am really excited to start the process. I also see that you are an Atlanta guy - I went to high school at parkview! For my primary residence, do you have any leads on a fixer upper 2/3/4plex would work as well! Thanks again for your time in responding!

Thanks for response Bill - I'll see what turns up! Otherwise do some flips/new home development (2/3/4plex)

Hi everyone! My wife and I are moving to Fort Collins in November. She works to pay our bills and I will be doing real estate. I have 100-150k to invest. I have an engineering degree and a masters in construction management. I've been doing construction management and facilities management for the last 20 years so I have some decent experience there. I've built a couple homes on the side and done a few flips/renovations. I'm very interested in building a smaller multi family or larger with the right partners. Does anyone have any advice for the Fort Collins area? Thanks - adam

Jared,

thanks so much for the kind words - actually means a lot. Yes, I know the denver market is exploding and definitely know that the fix - flip/hold market will be challenging. Thanks for the advice for the key words. I've just done it!

I've got a little time to figure things out and to keep my eye on the market.

thanks again!!

thanks for the suggestions - yes... I am aware that $3k upfront is likely not enough for crowd funding or a JV... hence my investigation for other sources to place my investment monthly. I'd definitely be interested in a local Denver REIT, or someone else local to the area who is looking for small monthly investments.

thanks again all!

Thanks Christopher! Really appreciate the response. That's a great idea. I'll see if anyone is interested. Do you know the best place to either post the inquiry or see if someone else is looking for a JV partner? Thanks again!! Adam.

Hello everyone!

I have been searching the posts for about three hours trying to find some advice on how to invest about $3000 per month in real estate. If anyone has any links to share, I'd appreciate it. Otherwise, are there any suggestions on how to invest monthly? I'd like to stay local in the Denver market.

Additionally, I will be moving back to Denver in a year (in the military stationed overseas) and will start full time investing doing either new construction or flipping homes. I want to invest in Denver specifically so I can start building relationships for when I start in a year!

Thanks!!

Adam

hi everyone! I am really interested in getting involved in real estate investing in the Denver area. I am currently in the military, stationed in Germany, but will be back home in lakewood (right at the base of Green Mountain) in one year.

I am an engineering the Air Force and have worked large scale construction for the last 18 years. I have built one house from the ground up and done complete renovations on 5 properties including two of my own properties. I renovated my condo in lakewood that is now cash flowing and I am very interested in figuring out how to do  this full time when I am finished with the military.

I'm very interested in learning how to start and am really looking forward to participating in the community!
