Thanks for this, sold already but will 100% keep in mind for the next time around.

Shutting down my aribnb, everything for sale. Must be picked up on Sunday 26th Nov or shortly thereafter. Check photos and email me for prices. Ideally you would take it all for a massive discount!

Not included:  Livingroom chairs and sofa, two kitchen stools,

ok awesome, that is what I wanted to confirm. Thank you!

Thank you for the response, really appreciated. Im all setup with the county and am already paying (I have the necessary licenses etc). My question is more in terms om how do I actually collect this from guests via Airbnb (since they dont collect automatically to your point) and I am afraid they may be penalising me for collecting surplus tax in how they display bookings.

Hi all,

Im new to STR and looking forward to learning and contributing on this forum. Ive got my first property in West Palm Beach and as part of that I need to collect TDT 6% of total taxable rental receipts. Does anyone have experience with collecting this on Airbnb? I added it to be collected as a tax surcharge on the listing on airbnb itself, but I haven`t seen any booking since I made this change. Im wondering if Airbnb is penalising me for it.
