hello, i live in long beach california in a not so safe area and my landlord will not switch out my front door which can easily be broken into.  is he within the law to do this?  as you can see from the photos there is a giant window which can easily be broken and have access to the lock.  even without unlocking the door someone can break the glass and climb through the window of the door.  the door is also very thin and old and can easily be kicked in.  there is only one lock which is the dead bolt.

  do i have legal rights and are my landlords actions illegal?  do i have rights to make him replace the door or get a security steel door?
