I am also a fellow veteran and developer looking to utilize the VA loan to purchase my first multi-family.
You mentioned you put 8% down on your first purchase, was that required or was there another reason for that?

Hi there,
My name is Alex Evans. I am a 25 year old aspiring real estate investor and Marine Corps veteran.
Originally from Cape Cod, MA I have recently moved down to the Tampa, FL area with a friend who has already begun investing in multi-family properties.
I currently work for myself full-time as a freelance web developer and have a background in digital marketing and computer science from Bridgewater State University as well as Miami's Wyncode Academy.
I am beginning to learn more about multi-family investing as well as wholesaling. My goal is to utilize my VA home loan to make my first purchase; it's encouraging to see so many other veterans have success with that.
