Hello! I am remodeling my basement and wish to rent out a portion of it, to include a bedroom, bathroom, and kitchenette. I plan to install a door in the hallway to keep this area separate from our living area. Where do I look to find all the legal requirements I need to follow to rent this space out? Some questions would be - do tenants need to be able to adjust heating/cooling for their area? Do I need to have certain terminology in the lease? Do they need their own parking space? Etc Etc. Any help would be truly appreciated!!

Hello,

I am moving to Lithia Springs, GA in a month and a half (quick timeline I know!) and want to buy a duplex, triplex, quadraplex option to house hack. I am looking for a REA that has experience working with real estate investors that can help me find the right deal! Please let me know if you have any recommendations as I need to start communications ASAP.

Thank you!

Erica,

I am interested in some buy and hold properties in Clarksville. I'm looking for a 3/2 with at least 1 car garage, but preferably 2, and over 1000 sq. ft. My email address is [email protected], let me know if you have anything available.

Got it. Thank you @Dave Foster.

Sorry @Account Closed for such a late response- didn't see it pop up in my notifications for some reason. I'm getting the loan for either a flip or for a buy and hold SFH. (Depending on house specs, etc).

@Dave Foster Thanks for the reply, that is good to know. Is it ultimately the banks that decide whether your "intent/hold time" was good enough and what qualifies?
