Hey Philip,

There’s no guarantee with purchases obviously, but we have bought nearly all our appliances off of Facebook marketplace for WAY below store prices. Many times people sell nice appliances to get matching ones or they move into a home and just don’t like what’s there. We’ve had great success so far!

Hi Ian. I'm new-ish to BP and also at the beginning of my real estate investing journey (hence my super delayed response to your post!). My boyfriend and I live in east De Pere and are finishing up our first BRRR on a duplex that we are owner occupying. I am also currently in the market for our second duplex! I would love to connect and hear about your experiences in the area thus far and see how I can be a resource to you as well. Like you said - connections are one of the first parts. Thanks!

Hi Joe.  My boyfriend and I own a duplex directly across the river from St. Norberts in De Pere and are BRRRing and house hacking and are also in the market for another as I type this.  We are planning to keep as buy and hold and continue to buy more small multi-family as well.  The rent rate in De Pere itself is great (good community, booming with growth), but the availability of small multifamily (duplex, triplex, quadplex) is where it is lacking.  Green Bay has much more available, but then you need to look closer at neighborhood and location as there are definitely some areas that are not as safe or stable, where we have not noticed that in the De Pere area.  Just food for thought!  I met a realtor off BP out of GB who I would 10/10 recommend - if you'd like his info let me know and I'd be happy to share that with you.
