I guess by being approached by so many "come work for us and we will make you a kazillion dollars, all you gotta do is give us $150 to start", that im qutie hesitant these days.
In this area, a LOT of people are out to send you in a pitfall of pyramid type schemes, and it really bugs me.
I guess it cant hurt to at least go to one of the meetings and see how things go.

Jeff,
Did you notice this?

I was told that if you have to pay to attend any REI meetings, then to steer clear of the organization.
I could be wrong, but it does sound questionable.

Hi,
I didnt find any local REI meetings. A lot of the people I have talked to either wanted to include me in some ******** pyramid scheme or were not willing to share any information about any local meetings.
Needless to say, I am doing things on my own and learning a lot from these forums.

All great information! Thank you everyone for your guidance and help.
What verbiage have you found that works well on things like CraigsList to attract potential investors(buyers)?

Sign up at craigslist, and start posting in the real estate section that you are a wholesaler, and need buyers. Post it everyday!
But what if you do not have investors already lined up?

I cannot thank everyone enough for the information. After getting this info from you guys and reading tons of other threads, I have learned more in the few days I have been here, then the past few months dealing with a half butt mentor.

Anyone in the Hampton/Norfolk and surrounding areas that have investor meetings?
p.s. not to be rude, but there are so many people in this area that are just out to rip people off, that I would prefer to work with real professionals.

Thanks Michael for the tips, it is very much appreciated.
So it seems like to me to avoid any possible problems with sellers etc.. is to ensure you have solid investors ahead of time.
This is a lot of fun and I look forward to really getting into this.
