I'm thinking I will major in interior design and have 2 minors in business administration and art (as a hobby/ side business). The school I'm going to only offers business administration. The classes that are required for that minor are 1. Accounting of business decisions 2. Economic essentials and issues 3. Business, government, and society 4. Financial decision making 5. Management essentials for contemporary 6. Contemporary marketing Do these classes sound like they would apply to the real estate world?

Hello everyone! I am currently a college student going into my junior year of college. I have had a rough time picking a degree but I am now very interested in investing in real estate. I want to work for myself as opposed to working for a boss. I think real estate could be a way for me to do this.I want to pick a degree that will give me the most knowledge in investing in real estate. Prior to now I was an art major so I have an eye for design. What college major/minor would you recommend? I am debating if interior design would be the right way to go. I want to learn about evaluating houses to determine what their worth and what renovations would bring the value up. I would be willing to hire out major renovations but I still want to have knowledge on the subject as well as do the minor projects myself. I'm thinking I could be both a buy and flip and buy and hold investor if I can buy cheap then renovate myself (or with help). Does anyone have suggestions?
