Thank you all for the feedback, I definitely need to start formulating my plan, reviewing my assets/network and outlining my goals.

I would like to start by doing this on the side with a single property to learn the ropes and get more comfortable. Most the people I know who own investment properties just winged it, but I am definitely more of a researched based person.

Hi all! My name is Amir, I joined BP about 5 years ago when I first got interested in investing (back in Boston). Over the past 5 years I have moved to Austin, bought a house in the South Lamar area and got married. My wife and I are ready to buy our first investment property, but I'm a bit overwhelmed on where to begin. I'm reading books, reviewing the forum, listening to podcast and trying my best to network.

I'm sure I'll have lots of questions in the near future, but for now I just wanted to introduce myself! I'm looking forward to learning everything I can and getting started.
