Hey Everyone, 

I am currently in the process of working on my first deal. Putting together a Renovation Loan for a duplex in Hummelstown, Pennsylvania. In order to continue moving forward in the loan process I need to begin getting estimates/bids on the renovation. Therefore I am looking for recommendations of local General Contractors that could help me out. Thanks in advance for any guidance!

Hey @Travis Wylie I actually went to my very first real estate meeting on Wednesday in Lancaster. It was wonderful! Yeah I am very excited to house hack, although I have been getting a little discouraged by not finding any deals that will cash flow. But I will keep looking! Any advice you (or anybody) has on finding a good house hack I am open to hearing!

Hey! My name is Angie I am brand new to Real Estate Investing, but I have my keyword alerts set up for Lancaster and Harrisburg and it keeps letting me know that yall are talking about both. So I figured I would chime in and introduce myself. I am currently getting ready to purchase my first small multifamily investment property around the Lititz/Lancaster or Hershey/Harrisburg areas. Similar to what a couple other people have said my goal is also to obtain buy and holds and try my hand at flipping to reach financial freedom!

Thanks to everyone in this chain I just joined meetup and plan to attend the Elevate Investing Group Meetup coming up in a couple weeks!

My name is Angie Comis and I am new to the BiggerPockets community, so I would like to introduce myself. I am originally from North Potomac, MD but now live in Lititz, PA. I have a day job working for Penn State Health Children's Hospital as a Registered Dietitian. Eventually I hope to be making enough through Real Estate Investing to quit my 9 to 5 and use the money to have a family and spend my time with them. I recently became very interested in Real Estate Investing as I realized paying monthly rent to someone is a waste. Then came the realization that someone could instead be paying me to rent a property that I own. Then I discovered BiggerPockets and here we are!

I just recently finished the Ultimate Beginners Guide here on BP and am currently finishing up a draft of my business plan. My first goal is to find a small multi-family home around the Lititz or Hershey PA areas. I plan to house hack this first property by living in one of the units and renting out the rest. From there I hope to grow my buy and hold business to create enough cash flow to begin flipping houses as well as providing for my growing family. I am very interested in flipping because I believe my eye for design is one of my best assets.

I am brand new to Real Estate Investing but am ready to dive in! I am looking forward to learning from and networking with the community here. Thank you in advance for any and all guidance or insight you all have to share!
