New wholesaler here in the DMV area.

Any wholesalers willing to meet up over coffee or a drink? Heck, maybe even a meal!

It’s all on me. Let’s connect!

@John Ma thanks for the input!  It seems that's the route I'll have to go.

Hello BiggerPockets community.  All that I hear investors preach about is how important it is to find a mentor and get people in your circle who are where you want to be. - However I'm running into one problem: Whenever I reach out to current investors to pick their brain, that I personally know or don't know at all, I get no response back.

Are there any current wholesalers in the DC MD or VA area that are willing to share their knowledge or even schedule a meet up? I would LOVE to sit and soak up all the info I can. Let me know, I have a cup of coffee or even a drink with your name on it! Perhaps we could do some business together that will be beneficial to the both of us.

@Victor Evans Wow! I will most definitely keep you in mind!  That means a lot to me.  Thanks for helping me get one step closer to my goal!  We will definitely keep in touch!

@Victor Evans nice! For me it all depends.  Currently starting out with literally nothing.  Just a vision & determination.  I have a couple of guys in my corner who are where I want to be someday and they're willing to mentor me and help me out along my journey.  I can't ask for a handout, just taking the initiative day by day to learn and move closer to my dream of financial freedom.  Since I'm starting out with nothing, I think the route I would like to go starting off is working with Wholesales until I build enough capital to start dealing with flips.  The only way I could jump right into flips is by getting a private investor who believes in my vision just as much as I do.  Who knows, if my meeting goes well with my mentor he may see that this can be mutually beneficial and want to do business with me.

Thanks @Victor Evans ! I am currently in the midst of creating a rough business plan and setting up a meeting with an REI who is a friend of the family. Just want to pick his brain, get advice, and see if my plan is feasible. If you don't mind me asking, what stage of REI are you currently at?

I had a GREAT conversation with an investor over the past weekend.  The conversation nearly changed my life.  He was telling me about creating a lifestyle for myself where I could do what I want, when I want... all through real estate investments.  I went home and did my research, and I've been hooked ever since.  Cramming information from the forums on BiggerPockets and listened to about 20 podcasts within the past two days.  This has my attention.  I told my wife about it, and she's 100% supportive of my interest in real estate.  I'm a young (28) accountant, currently working for an engineering association.  I feel have all the tools and resources/connections available to make this work.  I look forward to networking with others here on BiggerPockets.  Please share your thoughts, opinions, and advice!
