Thanks for replying! Both of us have our own primary residence and we both have families. We were thinking of getting a vacation home in the Orlando area we could use for family vacations together and/or independently. We would obviously rent it out when we are not using it.

I thinks it's a good idea to find a CPA and Attorney for your REI business that also invests in real estate. How many of you use an Attorney or CPA that are not local to you?

Ok guys and gals. I will be closing on my first investment property soon (a duplex). I would like to ask you guys/gals a “simple” question. Thinking back to your first investment property, what were some of the mistakes you made early on?

I know there will be mistakes and lessons learned along the way, but technology like Facebook, BiggerPockets and YouTube can help reduce those mistakes.

Any suggestions, tips, insights or information you can share would be greatly appreciated!
