I am interested in using a VA loan for a duplex in the Port Charlotte Florida and was referred to Estero Investments. As a spec builder they are offer pre built plans for possible May 2022 completion. But I would like to find a multi family deal now rather than later in 2022.

I am a true "newbie", is there a glossary of terms I can obtain just to keep up in this conversation ?? OOS? I feel like I am back in boot camp drinking out of a fire hose...

-Did you retire just before or during the pandemic?

I retired in 2013

-At what age did you retire?

62

-Why do you feel secure retiring in these uncertain times?

Only because I had $2M in my IRA upon leaving my career, plus I receive a military pension and disability each month.

I grew up in PGH in the late sixties, moved to N Cal in '84' and I am currently retired after 38 yrs w/Chevron IT company. I am also a retired Army Reservist after 32 yrs and 2 deployments. My only RE experience comes with my desire to diversify my retirement portfolio, so I created a self-directed IRA LLC and I bought a SFR in Ohio and I have been getting about $700 per month in cashflow. Now with the doom & gloom of the COVID-19 virus, decided I need to continue to work towards converting more of my IRA into RE cashflow.

My goal is to short term $4K in monthly cashflow to $8K per month. Long term to build to $10K per month and to leave this for my family...I am 68 yrs old so I am a little old to start a new career, but you know you only leave once so lets have some fun!!!!

Found BP on YouTube as we all have plenty of time on our hands and my middle daughter is excited to work with me in the RE investment as she has been effected by the pandemic.

PS: I purchased the SFR from a turnkey property investor through the Real Wealth Network.
