City of Austin is planning to build a sidewalk that cuts through my front yard (within my property line). Where can I find the legalities of this? Also where can I file a compliant to stop this? Any help or shared experienced appreciated.

@Wale Lawal thank you for your input. Are you accepting new clients?

Hi,

I'm an investor looking to invest in Houston, TX. Our strategy is primarily BRRRR and we do have experience in Austin and St Louis. Looking to partner with a realtor that would understand our strategy (we're not retail buyers).

Thanks,

Anthony

Hi,

I am a semi seasoned investor looking to start investing in the greater Houston, TX area. Looking for recommendations for local banks/credit unions that is willing to lend for a commercial loan to our LLC. We are starting with SFHs and will expand from there to MFs.

Thanks,

Anthony

Thanks Nick for your thorough answer. My current residence is already filed for a homestead. I called many banks/credit unions and found that PenFed was the only lender who was willing to lend in my situation. If Texas law prohibits HELOCs for multi-family, why are some lenders offering it?

Thank you!

Thank you for the recommendations everyone. What are the homestead protections specifically?

Looking for a HELOC loan for my duplex homestead. I live in one unit and rent out the other. A lot lenders don't allow 2+ MF/revenue generating units to be considered for HELOC. I know some lenders do allow this but I just need to find one. I'm located in Austin, TX if it helps.

@Kimberly Engeman thanks for confirming Kimberly! Exactly what I wanted to do, put 3.5 % down with FHA

Thanks for your input Jaron. I will be living in the second property, wouldn't that make it my primary residence?

I read that as long as the property is my primary residence and that I only have one FHA loan, I could be qualified. Any clarification would helpful
