@Alicia C. I'm from the Hattiesburg/Columbia area. At some point, I'll definitely want to venture into out of state investing back in MS because of how less expensive homes are in MS compared to TX. Definitely keep me updated on your journey, and I wish you the best of luck!

@Alicia C. Hey Alicia! Good luck to you as well!

What part of Mississippi are you from? And what type of properties are you looking to invest in? I had an idea to look into investing out of state back home as well as in state.

@Hunter Harrison Hey Hunter!

Which areas have you looked in? I live downtown Dallas but I'm planning to look at areas on the outskirts that aren't as developed (Oak Cliff, Irving, Arlington, maybe Mesquite, and other areas above Dallas)

The properties that you looked for, what kind of sale state were they in (For sale by owner, Foreclosure, etc)?

Shoot me a message when you have time to connect!

Hey everyone! My name is Antonio Barnes, and I'm an aspiring real estate investor. I'm from Mississippi but relocated to the Dallas, Texas / DFW area after graduation for work. I've been gaining as much knowledge as possible while working on a plan to purchase my first rental property (considering a duplex that I may or may not house hack). I'm looking to build up a solid portfolio over time by investing in multifamily homes and some single family homes. I'd love to connect and get advice for a newbie starting off in real estate investing!
