I own a duplex in Englewood, FL, just a 10-minute drive from the beach. Currently, one half is rented to long-term tenants, and I'm considering converting the other half into a short-term rental. However, I'm unsure if I'm suited for the short-term rental market. Is there anyone in the area who might be interested in managing it? Or would it be wiser to re-rent it as a long-term rental again?

I completely agree with the sentiments expressed. Dealing with challenging individuals can be frustrating, but it’s essential to approach the situation professionally. Always prioritize protecting your interests—one misstep can lead to significant consequences, especially if someone employs a predatory attorney. Professional tenants can be found in every market, and in Connecticut, they can often prevail. It's crucial to stay compliant and follow the rules to safeguard everything you’ve built.
