Post: Renting out a Home in California

As a California resident, I'm about to rent out my home and want to set up a 2 year contract with future tenant. I've already downloaded the blank rental agreement and rental application. Is this all I need to set up a contract with my future tenant to protect myself or are there other forms? I wanted to check with a real estate agent but I thought I'd ask the forum.
Your help would be appreciated. Please advise.

Hey David, I was just wondering how your pursuit for an agent and real estate investing pursuits were going. I live in Redding, CA as well so I was curious. Were you able to set your your research model and move forward? I would love to learn from you as we're in the same market.

Thanks for the welcome everyone.
@Karen Margrave That's so cool that you grew up here. It's funny because I grew up in Southern California. (most recently from San Fernando Valley)
I'm currently check out which real estate agency I should work with. I was recommended to check out Windemere and Coldwell Banker from a friend.
Would you be able to recommend any real estate brokers that you have worked with or know? Secondly, would you be able to recommend any active investors that I could connect with? Any advice is appreciated.

Hey Brandon Turner, after reading your article, How to Start Investing in Real Estate at a Young Age and How to Make a Million Dollars from Real Estate, I'm more interested in multi-family properties to buy and hold. I'd like to learn how to fix and flip as well single families homes as well.

Hi guys! My name is Alex Ro from Redding, CA. I'm currently thinking of pursuing my real estate license to get more experience in the real estate industry and be a better investor. I'm currently seeking other active investors that I can partner with or be an apprentice to in the Northern CA region. I've tried some real estate guru courses and I feel like I'd more likely to have more practical progress and results working with someone. Looking forward to growing with you in this community.
