@Andrew Postell I rent this home as an investment property currently. I did the zestimate from Zillow and It seems I have about $8000 in possible equity. I will look into Fannie/Freddie to see if I can get a refinance. Thanks for the information Andrew.

Ok I will start with Zillow and see what I come up with where I am with equity. Thanks for the advice David.

I have been deeded a property that belonged to my dad when he died via the courts. I want to refinance the property under my name and get a better/lower rate. The current bank (Carrington) has been giving me issues for years. I think I have built up equity but not sure how to calculate it. Can anyone in this forum point me in the right direction? any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Greetings BiggerPocket members, This is my first post as I just created an account the other day. My question to you is can I do a refinance on a house that I assumed control of through a will? the mortgage is under my dad who is no longer here.
