Thanks Marc C,

Thats how I learned about the RV park we would love to acquire was from that website you referenced!!  The placenis beautiful but current owners have really lost the love.  Customer service is truly lacking.  I have been reading many posts on this site and I have to wonder am I really considered an investor? I am not looking to purchase numerous properties and work them to sell or make a profit through rent.  I want to purchase a single large property to live and work.  Grow the business and ultimately be my own boss and navigator of my future. I currently work a new job, and it's  just that a j.o.b. The fire service was a great profession and I loved it, but making ends meet was difficult at best.  I want the ability to be financially healthy with no worries and to leave a legacy for my children and future generations.  I am still trying to learn how to make this dream a reality and in a reasonable amount of time.  I don't want to be old and gray before it comes to fruition.   Yes I understand there are many facets and variables with an undertaking of this magnitude, but blood, sweat, tears, ingenuity and common sense can create marvels and monuments then this is no different.  I will continue reading and learning, and taking those things that are applicable to my situation.

And to Dale H,

I would be interested in having a conversation about your thoughts on my situation.

Thanks everyone,

Art

Hello,

My name is Art and newly retired from the fire service.  I am looking for a new direction in life and to find my 2nd career.  My wife and I have always dreamed of purchasing a business in the mountains and living there.  Every year we go to the mountains in Colorado and hate to leave when the trip is over.  We would love to purchase an RV park.  It would be a permanent residence as well an occupation. But RV parks are not cheap.  How does one go about in trying to purchase one with little avaliable capital, and no real estate background.  Am I pursuing a dream that is out of reach?  Is this even the right arena or forum to ask these questions?
