Greetings everyone! First of all, I am happy to be a part of the Bigger Pockets family and look forward to network with and bounce ideas off everyone here. My name is Asad Shaikh, and I just left pharmacy school halfway during my first semester to plunge into the world of real estate. I just got my sales associate license, and will be working with Keller Williams. My background is in biomedical sciences, but my passion is in business and connecting with people of all sorts of backgrounds. I ran a successful eBay store during my college years (successful for a student that is), and I'm looking to apply some of the core concepts I learned from that business to real estate agency & investment: client relationship maintenance, networking, inventory management, building systems to improve efficiency etc. My goal is FIRST to gain experience in the field by listing and selling people's homes for them as a Realtor, and using the resulting income to invest into lower-end condominiums and townhomes (with a buy & hold strategy built on cash flow.) When I get the ball rolling, I hope to transition into investing in multifamily units. I have a great role model in my father, who invests in real estate locally- and I hope to get my feet wet in this game in 2017. If you're in Tampa, lets connect!
