It's a violation of Fair Housing Law to deny someone a rental based solely on the fact they don't have a social security number. We were just trying to process interested parties in the order they were received.

We have an applicant trying to complete an application for one of our rentals, but they do not have a social security number or a driver's license number- which are required fields for our background and credit check. Does anyone know an alternative to check their credit and background without a social security number?

A tenant that has lived in one of my units for a year now and works from home (and has just renewed their lease for another year) is complaining about a dog barking, who is owned by a tenant that just moved in two days ago. The new tenant has just relocated here from out of state, and I am wondering how other landlords handle these complaints. It's not a huge issue yet, but I'm concerned this could become an ongoing issue.
