Thanks everyone. I'm a rookie. I just read Brandon Turner's Book on Rental Property Investing, which is a very helpful introduction to buy and hold real estate investing, but doesn't cover STR. I'm traveling down to the Forgotten Coast in a few weeks to check out the area for the first time for a potential STR. I own my current home outright and have a very sizable down payment for an STR. I'm a homeschool mom and I believe I have the flexibility to manage an STR from afar.

I am planning to purchase an out-of-state STR very soon. What are the best books to guide me on purchasing and running my first STR? I'd like to avoid using a property management company if possible. Thank you!
