Hi - I recently purchased two properties with a partner (both purchased from the same seller, using a single commercial loan and a single PSA, but two distinct properties). We have the opportunity to sell one of the properties for the full amount of the loan, but, since any attributed appreciation would be a short-term capital gains, are trying to best understand the implications and potential structuring options. I'm looking for a recommendation for a good tax attorney to discuss this. Would appreciate any help pointing me in the right direction. 

Can someone please explain what is required for parking and using an RV on someone's property? 

Any special hookups? 

And legality of renting this out as a living space?

Hi Everyone!

My name's Adam and my brother and I are beginning to invest. Many years ago we did several rehab/flips down in Florida, but have not been engaged in real estate for about 10 years.

We are now interested in both buy-and-hold rental properties and doing rehabs/flips. We're just re-learning the process and learning the areas for the first time. The areas where we're looking are southern Nassau, Queens and Brooklyn.

I'm an attorney, barred in New York (however, my practice isn't real estate related), and my brother's a tech entrepreneur with a couple start-ups under his belt. We're both really excited to get involved in real estate again and to be able to learn from and participate in this community.

We're also looking to connect with people who either do rentals or rehabs/flips in Nassau and definitely welcome advice from all of the real estate veterans in the Bigger Pockets community! Looking forward to engaging with you!
