Do I need to worry about the new housing stock that's under development in these areas especially South loop? Looking at the development I feel that rental prices will go down in coming years.

I am looking to buy a 1 bedroom or studio  condo as a buy and hold rental property in Chicago (Near North side, South loop, Gold Coast, Printers Park, Streeterville, Old town or West Loop). Can anyone help me in understanding the rental market in these areas? How easy it is to rent out the condo in current market?

Suggestions for other Neighborhoods are also appreciated!
