For me it was the realization that just standing on the sidelines wasn't going to make me any money. Action was what I needed to take. I joined my local REI Association, started networking and found an investment group within the association I was comfortable with. Investing money within a group is an excellent way to get some first hand knowledge that you can use in future deals on your own.

Best bet is to try 4-5 different things. Bandit signs, magnetic signs, door hangers, mass mailings, etc.

I'm reading the book now. I like it. It does a good job of getting you to think differently about money. I have changed some of my spending patterns as a result and I'm sure I will probably make more changes by the time I finish the book.

I currently invest in distressed properties directly but am interested in notes as well. I would like to learn more on this issue and also obtain information on good sources for discounted notes.

Thanks

Hi,

I just joined this site and look forward to networking with many of its members. I used to call myself a novice until my wife and I recently made our first investment. We are currently investing in a condo conversion in the Phoenix, AZ area.
