Does anyone have a good solution for re-financing an auto loan that I am upside down in? I owe about 10k more than the car is worth.

I was just approved for a credit card increase through my credit union so that I can consolidate 2 cards into 1. My question now is do I close the credit card that I will roll into the new one. I have ha this card for 11 year now, went through a delinquent phase in college and now that has all rolled off. I have paid on time since. I have had the card that I am rolling the balance onto for about 4 years now and always paid it on time.
I am wondering how it will affect my FICO score to have 13K of credit available to me, my balance will be about 6k. My goal is to pay the credit card debt off. I am wondering if I should keep that card open in case I need to use it to transfer balances later for better APR.

Any insight?

Hi All,

Just came across and joined this site today. I am new to MD and looking into ways to:

1 - decrease debt

2) increase FICO score

3) save money

4) buy my first home

I look forward to chatting with you all.
