I recently bought a vacant land in bay area (Santa Clara county) and it is unincorporated area, I wanted to get building site approval and many of the folks told me it take huge time 2 yrs etc, some told me there are people who can help accelerate it. I wanted to learn experience from folks here and what does this process mean and what are timelines, property is on hillside and definitely not straightforward

Also do you know for San Jose what is typical per sq ft construction rates approx which includes everything end to end ? Appreciate it

I am about to purchase a land and wanted to build a house lot is approx 8000 sq ft and I think will build in budget of 300K including all construction, fees everything, may be 2000 or so sq ft. I was wondering how much down payment is required for home construction loan as I am new to this and exploring many things including, how to get trees removed, looking for general contractor etc etc? Appreciate your help, home is in Bay Area (south bay)
