Sorry, but as much as the popular culture likes to believe in ghosts, they simply don't exist. Think about how many ghost stories you've heardand then think how many times in your life you've actually seen something that could only be explained as a ghost. I bought foreclosed home with all kinds of weird noises, but they all can be explained with simple physics. I would say to go ahead and get the house and forget about all the superstitious nonsense you see on tv.

My interest rate is 5.8%. The reason I want to pay it off so soon is because I've already been fixing up this house and it's been really taxing on me. I'm not sure if I'd want to move in 2 years and collect the profit. I figure that if once I do get it paid off, I can save up tons of money and eventually buy rentals while having a nice place to live. Or maybe just invest the cash in good growth stock mutal funds.

Hi all. I'm 26 years old and just bought a foreclosure home for $86k. Fixed up, it's easily worth $120k. I put a down payment in of 40k and owe 46k on it now. My monthly payments are roughly $527 a month. I make somewhere over $2000 a month from my job, and have 31000 sitting in a money market account at 5% that didn't go towards the down payment. I get $683 a month from a trust fund set up by my grandparents. Should I just take that 31000 and put it towards my principle so that I only have to pay the bank back $15000, and eventually be debt free so I can take the money I pay on mortgage every month and invest it?
Post: laying down sticky tiles?

I bought a house and ripped up the floor in the kitchen. I'm going to level out the floor because the subfloor ripped up a small layer when ripping up the tile. I plan on eventually putting in ceramic tiles to raise the value, but for now while living it it. I just want something down over the floor. Do you think that the sticky tiles are a good option to use? The ones that look like real tiles? I have a friend that installed them in his kitchen and he says that people come in his house and swear that they are real tiles. Do you think that I may not even need to eventually put in real ceramic and does anyone have any experience with these tiles?

The roof probably needs to be replaced in the next few years. The house was sold as is as a foreclosure. The stains are around the edges inside. I paid 86000 for the house. It's in a decent area, it's all brick with a detatched garage and basement. I noticed that under the roof on the outside it is wood instead of vinyl siding. I'm thinking that this might be the reason it has the stains around the border of the ceiling. How much money would I save if I bought my own supplies and equipment and replaced the whole roof if that is what's needed?

This house that I am buying has several stains on the dry wall ceiling. They are light brown almost like coffee. Is this signs of roof leakage, and if it is how easy is this to fix?
Post: Package deal for $132900. Is this a deal?

There are 2 2-bedroom 2 bathroom homes side by side one going for 65000 with 965 sq ft and the price per square ft in the area is about $106, and the other one going for 67900 with 675 square ft. I think I have to buy both homes for 132900 in order to even buy them. What other things do I need to consider before determining if this is a deal?

It's within walking distance to the city university and is made of a brick exterior and only going for 99000. It almost sounds too good to be true. The area is actually very good for this city. Any thoughts as to why it's selling for so cheap?

Don't you think I should start with something I can afford first? Say for instance something less than 65k? To me borrowing that much more than I actually have seems very finacially irresponsible. Besides, I think borrowing money is best to be avoided if you can.

But I don't even know how to run my own apartment building. How risky is something like that?
