I 'm thinking of pulling cash out of a SFR which i own full and clear (no debt) in order to use as a down payment for another purchase. However, the SFR is in an LLC and i am told that the house would need to be under my name and no longer the LLC. How risky is that , and does that seem like a good idea?

im looking to buy and hold a multifamily bldg 4+ units , and shopping around for a commercial lender who requires Less than a 35% down payment. anyone have a recommendation?

wayne,  you mean second mirtgage like a ahome Equity Lioan?if he wants  to buy commercial proprty( greater than 4 units) what do you suggest he do to obtain the rest of the down payment?
